As the Royal PO took over all mail handling in April 1889, this provisional would be for use in other Bypost’s operations such as delivery of messages and parcels, packaging, removal and dispatch of goods to and from ships, railways and forwarding agents.
No. 39 – Green with State railway cancellation, also with inverted overprint. And Yellow-green.
NB. Additional loose stamp with “Pakke-post” cancellation and postmark.
