3 October 1883 – Nos. 2-5. These stamps were issued to meet “Expres” (Special Delivery) services. They resembled labels, hand stamped n clear blue colour on white paper and were imperforate.

The inscription “EXPRES – Horsens Bypost – EXPRES”was the same on Nos. 2 and 3, each for 10 ore, the postal charge for ordinary special delivery. They differed only in size, No.2 being 41x46mm, whereas the other was 42x55mm.

The text on No.4 for 15 ore, the cost of “Reply-paid” Special Delivery read “Svar betalt”. That on No.5 also for 15 ore was “Svet betalt EXPRESS” – Horsens Bypost – Svar betalt”. The sizes of Nos. 4 and 5 was respectively 39x57mm and 41x65mm.

Reprints, below, were made of all four stamps on grey blue paper with printed inscriptions in lighter colours and differing somewhat in stamp sizes. The words “Svar betalt” on Nos. 4 and 5 means “Reply paid”.
